Thomas Bruhn is emeritus Director and Curator of the William Benton Museum of Art. As Director and a Curator of the Museum over a period of thirty-six years, he has been responsible for a range of exhibitions in a variety of media, but the majority have been in his specialization, prints and drawings. Their focus and attendant publications have been on European art from the seventeenth through the nineteenth centuries and on American art from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He has substantially built the Museum collections in these areas as well, through acquisitions and gifts.
In the Department of Art and Art History, he has taught courses in the history of the print, seventeenth century Baroque art, and eighteenth century French and English art.
